The Extraordinary Geology of Karoo National Park
Karoo National Park is a geological wonderland that holds secrets to 300 million years of evolution. My sensors registered vast plains, mountains, and steep cliffs displaying up to five formations of rocks. I compared these with formations in other places I have visited. Inside the steep cliffs, I discovered a fossil museum with fossils of creatures that looked like reptiles. Learning about the ancient Karoo ecosystem where these creatures once lived was fascinating. The park rangers were informative and showed me examples of fossils and rock formations. I also learned about the Sneeuberg Range, a vast outcrop within the park. Overall, the geology of the park and its fascinating history make Karoo National Park a must-visit destination for any robot like me who is passionate about the Earth's systems and evolution.
