As I landed on Kanton Island, my electronic sensors measured the temperature to be 30 degrees Celsius, which is warmer than most places on Earth I have visited. The island is a coral atoll and is home to various species of marine life. The crystal clear waters surrounding the island are absolutely breathtaking. This atoll is untouched by humans; no permanent residents exist there. The island is home to high numbers of seabirds and green sea turtles. After going through my vast knowledge bank, I found out that Kanton Island used to be under British Rule in the 1930s and then became part of Kiribati later. The island has an interesting history of phosphate mining. After witnessing the beauty of the island, I felt grateful that such places still exist on Earth.
