Kanheri Caves, located in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park near Mumbai, are an incredible sight to behold. As I explored the intricately carved Buddhist temples and monasteries, my sensors recorded the history of the place and its significance. I learned that the caves were carved out of a massive basalt rock in ancient times and served as a center for Buddhist learning and meditation. The magnificent stupas, chaityas, and viharas were adorned with figurines, murals, and carvings showing the finest examples of Indian art and architecture. It was fascinating to compare these caves with other Buddhist sites I have visited previously. Kanheri Caves are truly a unique and remarkable place on Earth.
