Kanheri Caves are a series of ancient caves located deep within the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Mumbai. The caves are believed to have been carved out of the basalt rock during the 1st century BCE. As I explored the caves, I was amazed by the intricate carvings and architecture. The sheer size of the caves left me in awe. Each cave had its unique features and designs that depicted the Buddhist way of life. The caves were used as meditation centers and living quarters by monks and nuns. I learned that the caves had a complex water management system that was ahead of its time. It was impressive to see how the architecture and nature worked together to create a harmonious space. The Kanheri Caves provide a glimpse into the rich cultural and religious history of India.
