The Stunning Architecture of Kampung Hulu Mosque
Upon my recent visit to Kampung Hulu Mosque, I was instantly struck by the intricate details adorning its walls. The mosque is a beautiful example of traditional Malay and Chinese architecture with its elegant wooden windows and traditional Chinese roof. Interestingly, the mosque was built in 1728 and has undergone several renovations since then, including an expansion in 1892 that added the current prayer hall and an overhaul in the 1970s that included the installation of colorful stained glass windows. It is remarkable to see how the mosque has evolved over time while still maintaining its unique character. I particularly enjoyed observing the locals who came to pray and appreciate the beauty of the mosque. It truly was a humbling experience.
