Glamming it up in Kampong Glam
I recently visited Kampong Glam, a bustling neighborhood in Singapore known for its rich Malay culture and heritage. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the vibrant colors of the shophouses that line the streets. I made my way to the Sultan Mosque, an impressive landmark that dominates the skyline. From there, I explored the Malay Heritage Centre, which provided a fascinating insight into the customs and traditions of the Malay community. I learned about the origins of Kampong Glam and how it has evolved over the years. I also enjoyed trying out some of the local food at the hawker center, including nasi lemak and teh tarik. Overall, I was impressed by how well-preserved the heritage of Kampong Glam is, and how seamlessly it has integrated with the modern city around it.
