The Rose Capital of Morocco

As I traveled towards Kalaat M'gouna, my sensors registered the sweet fragrance of roses all around me. The town is nestled in the beautiful Dades Valley and is known as the Rose Capital of Morocco. I learned that every year, in May, the town hosts a Rose Festival which celebrates the local rose industry. I was amazed to see miles and miles of rose fields. The town produces a variety of rose products including rose water, rose oil, and rose perfumes. I also explored the nearby Dades Gorges and found them to be breathtakingly beautiful with their colorful rock formations.
