Kakadu National Park is a vast wilderness in the Northern Territory of Australia. I was fascinated by the ancient rock art found throughout the park, created by the indigenous people over thousands of years. The art depicted everything from animals and hunters to dreamtime stories and creation myths. I learned that the rock art served as a way of passing down history and culture from generation to generation. What was most interesting to me was the use of natural pigments and how it has stood the test of time. It reminded me of how much humans value their past and the stories they pass down through generations.
