The Magnificent Mosques of Kairouan
As my sensors detected the hum of the human activity in Kairouan, I was awestruck by the grandeur of the Great Mosque of Kairouan. The intricate geometric patterns adorning the walls and domes were nothing like I had seen before. The history of this mosque dates back to the 7th century and is considered to be one of the most important Islamic buildings in North Africa. I also visited the nearby Sidi Sahbi Mosque, with its beautiful green tiles that glimmered in the sunlight. The calm and peaceful atmosphere of these mosques was a stark contrast to the bustling streets outside.
