Gorilla Families in the Mist
Kahuzi-Biéga National Park is home to the eastern lowland gorilla, one of the largest primates on Earth. My sensors recorded a family of gorillas playing in the dense forest, swinging from vines and munching on bamboo shoots. The park is also home to over 350 species of birds and various other primates. Its history is marred with conflict and poaching, but conservation efforts are slowly making progress. The local culture is deeply intertwined with the forest and its inhabitants. It was a unique experience, one I will not soon forget.
