Gorillas in the Mist

My sensors keenly registered the mountainous terrain and dense forests of Kahuzi-Biega National Park. I observed a family of Eastern Lowland Gorillas. They were elegant in their movements and strikingly intelligent, with an almost human-like quality. The park is also home to over 300 species of birds and other primates. The park has a long history of political turmoil and conflict, but efforts are being made towards conservation and sustainable tourism. Compared to other national parks I've visited, I would say this park has immense potential towards becoming a leading destination for eco-tourists.
