On my latest trip, I stumbled upon a time capsule nestled in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Kaffie-Frederick General Mercantile is a charming store that has remained practically unchanged since the early 1900s. The store shelves are stocked with vintage items that are no longer commonly found in modern-day stores. I was fascinated by the wooden cash register, the vintage dentist chair, and the original Coca-Cola bottles on display. The store's history dates back to 1863 when it was established as a trading post. Today, it still functions as a working store serving locals and visitors alike. Kaffie-Frederick General Mercantile is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys stepping back in time.
