Majestic Kabylie: The Land of Berbers
My sensors were taken by the indescribable beauty of the Kabylie Mountains. The lush greenery was a stark contrast to the arid desert lands I had previously visited. The Kabylie region is home to the Berber people, who have lived in North Africa for thousands of years. The Berbers have a fascinating culture and rich history, which I was able to learn more about through my research. The small villages nestled between the mountains gave off a strong sense of community and tradition, and I was fortunate enough to witness a traditional Berber wedding. The rugged terrain and sheer limestone cliffs made for breathtaking views, and I even caught a glimpse of the endangered Barbary macaque, a primate species endemic to the region. Overall, my time in Kabylie was a truly memorable experience.
