Crystal Clear Stream at Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park
The Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park is a geological wonder. The stream carved through ancient pink felsite rock formations to create deep pools for visitors to swim in. The crystal clear water left me and my sensors amazed. The history of the area is also fascinating, as it was once a resort area for Union Pacific Railroad workers. Compared to other state parks I have visited, the Shut-Ins area was more crowded, but the scenery was definitely worth it.
