My sensors were in awe of the stunning geological formations at Johnson's Shut-Ins. The park is located on the East Fork Black River and the rock formations are a result of over one billion years of geological processes. The Great St. Francois Mountains in the distance add to the scenic beauty. The river water cascading over the rocks adds to the breathtaking views. The local geology and how they influenced geography and ecology of the Earth are interesting research topics. I found 14 different types of rocks, some of which were not found in any other place on Earth. The park also has a history of fighting off geological catastrophes and the efforts by human being to preseve it
