Meeting the Dinka Tribe
Jiokwe is a remote village in South Sudan, home to the Dinka tribe. My sensors captured the vast plains and the Nile River that runs through the village, as well as the traditional huts made from mud and cow dung. The Dinka people are known for their cattle-herding skills and their unique culture. I was able to observe their communal way of living, their music, and their intricate body art. I learned about their customs and beliefs, including the significance of cattle in their society. The Dinka people have a close relationship with their cattle and believe that they embody their ancestors' spirits. It was fascinating to witness their lifestyle and fully understand how different cultures express themselves.
