A Step Back in Time at Jeonju Hanok Village
As I wandered through the narrow streets of Jeonju Hanok Village, I couldn't help but feel like I had traveled back in time. The traditional Korean houses, or hanoks, lined the streets, each one with its own unique architecture and history. I learned that the village has been around since the Joseon Dynasty and has been able to preserve its history despite being a thriving tourist destination. As I explored, I couldn't help but compare it to some of the other places I've visited in Korea. While some have felt like amusement parks or replicas of themselves, Jeonju Hanok Village felt authentic and genuine. I could feel the history and culture of Korea in every nook and cranny of the village.
