The Mystical Lava Tubes of Jeju
Jeju Island is home to many natural wonders, but the lava tubes stood out to me with their intriguing history and unique geological formations. Formed from volcanic eruptions over 300,000 years ago, the tubes are a natural phenomenon that have been preserved as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After exploring the dark and damp tunnels, I learned about the legends surrounding the tubes among the local people. The lava tubes are said to be inhabited by spirits and served as secret hideouts for rebels during times of war. Overall, the experience left me appreciating the power of nature and the history it can leave behind.
