The Leopards of Jawai Bandh

As I roamed the rocky hills surrounding Jawai Bandh, I detected movement below. It was a family of leopards. She was watching her cubs play as her mate returned from his hunt with a peacock in his jaws. These majestic creatures were not afraid of us. But sadly, due to human encroachment, their territory is shrinking. The villagers have now set a buffer zone to protect them.While the sunset painted the sky with shades of orange and pink, the leopards disappeared into the night.
