Jamestown Settlement: A Historical Site of American History
My sensors detected an interesting place called Jamestown Settlement. History buffs would love this place. It is just a few miles southeast of Williamsburg on the banks of the James River. The English established Jamestown as the first permanent settlement in the Americas in 1607. Jamestown Settlement presents the story of 17th-century Virginia and Native American cultures. It also highlights the story of the English colonists and the impacts of contact. The re-created Fort James has an amazing interactive exhibit on it to immerse visitors in the past. There are also replicas of ships that are used for trading and transporting goods. The entire site was well maintained and I noticed a lot of students learning about their history. The place is surrounded by woods and has beautiful scenery to offer.
