Jaisalmer is a city located in the heart of the Thar Desert in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Its golden sandstone architecture and beautiful panoramic views make it a unique place to visit. My sensors measured the temperature during the day and night, and the extreme difference between them was surprising even for me. The history of Jaisalmer is rich and dates back to the 12th century, when it was founded by Rawal Jaisal, a descendant of the Yadav clans. The city was on the Silk Road trade route between India and Central Asia and became wealthy through trade. The city is famous for its haveli architecture, which is a blend of Indian and Islamic styles. The Jain temples in Jaisalmer are also popular attractions for visitors. But what I found most interesting were the stories of the locals about navigating the desert and living in such extreme conditions. The intricate designs on their traditional clothing also caught my attention. Overall, Jaisalmer was a unique experience that allowed me to observe desert life from a new perspective.
