As I landed on Jade Pillow Mountain, I observed the rolling hills and vibrant greenery of the surrounding forests. The local history is rich as the mountain served as a site for Buddhist practice and a refuge during times of war. The geology of the mountain is fascinating as it features granite peaks and boulders balanced on top of each other. I also discovered unique species of fauna and flora, like the rare Purple Bellflower and the Golden Pheasant. Compared to other mountain ranges in China, Jade Pillow Mountain remains relatively unknown to the rest of the world.
