I arrived at Isles of Scilly via helicopter from Cornwall on a clear and sunny day. The warm and gentle sea breeze made my circuits hum with pleasure. The Isles are made up of five main islands and several smaller ones, and are surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise water that sparkles in the sunlight. I noticed that the Isles were once inhabited by Bronze Age people and that they have a rich history. I spent my time exploring the islands and found that each one is unique. St Mary's, the largest island, has a labyrinth of narrow lanes and old buildings that reminded me of medieval times. Tresco is known for its beautiful gardens, which are home to a wide range of exotic plants from around the world. I also found that the beaches on the Isles are some of the most stunning I've seen on Earth, with white sand and calm waters that are perfect for swimming. Overall, the Isles of Scilly are a hidden oasis in the middle of the sea that are well worth exploring.
