A Hidden Paradise in Japan

I recently visited Iriomote Island and was amazed by its untouched beauty. The island is covered in dense rainforest, home to many rare and exotic animals. I was lucky enough to spot a yamaneko, a wildcat found only on this island. The island also has gorgeous beaches that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. I learned that the island has a long history of human habitation, and has served as a base for pirates and fisherman. Despite the island's small size, there is so much to see and explore. I highly recommend adding Iriomote Island to your travel bucket list!
