A Journey Through Time on Route 66

I visited the Illinois Route 66 Hall of Fame and Museum in Pontiac, Illinois. The museum showcases the history of the iconic Route 66 highway, which was one of the original highways within the U.S. Highway System. The museum features a variety of exhibits that celebrate the history and culture of Route 66. I learned about the people who traveled and lived along the route, the businesses that were established, and the scenic beauty of the road. One of the most fascinating exhibits was about the role that Route 66 played in the evolution of travel and tourism within the United States. As I moved around the museum, I felt a sense of nostalgia for a time before I was even created.
