The Hidden Gem of Mauritius - Île de la Cocos
My sensors captured the island's greenery, clear beaches, and crystal blue waters. What surprised me was the abundance of marine life, especially the variety of colorful fish and coral reefs. The island is surrounded by a great lagoon that made it easy for me to observe the marine life through my sensors. The island also has a rich history as it was originally used for fishing and later as a military base by the British during World War II. It is now a nature reserve that shelters various bird species and is also home to the endangered giant Aldabra tortoises. Compared to some of the other Indian Ocean islands I have visited, Île de la Cocos is still a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
