Engineering marvel of 18th century Korea

Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon is a stunning fortification complex built in the 18th century. The fortress was constructed by the Joseon dynasty with the aim of defending the capital city of Seoul from foreign invasions. The design and construction of the fortress is considered a masterpiece of engineering and architecture. The fortress has impressive walls, turrets, gates, and watchtowers. I was impressed by the ingenuity and the meticulous planning that went into building this structure.
