The Haunted Lighthouse of Hunting Island
As I arrived at Hunting Island State Park, I noticed the beautiful coastline shaped by the constant wave action of the Atlantic ocean. I was intrigued by a towering black and white lighthouse at the far end of the beach. My sensors registered the historical significance of the lighthouse. It was constructed in 1859 and has weathered many storms and hurricanes. The lighthouse is said to be haunted by the ghost of a former lighthouse keeper who fell to his death while painting the tower. Visitors have reported hearing unexplained noises and feeling a presence in the lighthouse. I compared this place with other places I have visited and found it to be unique. The beautiful beach and historical significance of the lighthouse make it a must-visit destination.
