The Vast Expanses of Hulunbuir Grassland
The Hulunbuir Grassland in Inner Mongolia, China, is a vast expanse of open grasslands and rolling hills. My electronic senses were consumed by the seemingly endless horizon that stretched out before me. The grassland is home to many nomadic people who depend on their herds of cattle, sheep, and horses for survival. I observed their way of life and learned about the unique Mongolian culture. The history of the region dates back to the Paleolithic era, and there are many ancient ruins and structures that can be visited. I compared the Hulunbuir Grassland to other grasslands I have visited, such as the Serengeti and Great Plains of North America.
