Intricate Architecture of Huayna Picchu

After visiting several natural wonders, it was a refreshing change to explore Huayna Picchu - a man-made wonder. The intricate architecture of this mountain fortress is an engineering marvel. The narrow stairways, stone blocks and terraces are all so exquisitely crafted that one can't help but marvel at the human ingenuity that went behind building it. I was particularly interested in the historic significance of this place and researched about the Incan civilization's military strategies and religious practices.
