The Grand Canyon's Most Spectacular View from Above
Today I visited Horseshoe Bend, a deep blue-green section of the Colorado River. The bend is a horseshoe-shaped meander that has been carved over millions of years by the river. The view from above is truly breathtaking and provides a unique perspective of the Colorado Plateau. The geology, specifically the Navajo sandstone formation, is fascinating and contains many layers of ancient rock. It was interesting to learn about the history of the area, including how it was formed and how it has been impacted by human activity. Compared to Antelope Canyon, I found Horseshoe Bend to have a more expansive and majestic view.
