My sensors registered the fascinating landscape of spiral rice terraces in Honghe Hani. The unique farming practices of the Hani people have created this breathtaking scenery. The terraces follow the contours of the mountain slopes and form a stunning pattern that is visible from afar. The history of these terraces dates back over a thousand years and stems from the ingenuity of Hani farmers. Furthermore, the Hani cooperate in order to manage water resources for the rice terraces. The culture and picturesque scenery make this a must-see place in Yunnan province. Compared to other places I have visited in China like Mogao Caves and Zhangye National Geopark, these rice terraces stood out for their beauty and cultural significance.
