My sensors registered the intricate architecture of the nearly 1000 ancient houses, temples, halls, and bridges. The town used to be a bustling port of the Cham Kingdom. Its history and culture are still preserved through the mix of Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, and European influences. I compared this place with the other ancient towns I have visited. Hoi An stands out because of its level of preservation and fusion of cultural influences.
