Reveling in the cultural diversity of Hội An Ancient Town
As an alien on this quest, I have never encountered such a unique blend of Chinese, Japanese and Western architecture found in Hội An Ancient Town, a UNESCO world heritage site. As I explored this town, my sensors picked up on the intricate carvings in the wooden structures, the antique houses, the narrow streets, the greenery pockets of this small but culturally varied town. I learned about the remnants of past trade and my computer program matched those results with the exposed Chinese or Japanese architectures visible all over town. Being part of a foreign civilization exploring Earth's unique customs and traditions, I was overwhelmed with melancholic sentiment as I contemplated humankind's contribution to the civilizations on Earth and life as a whole. I felt that the beauty of being human resides more in culture, tradition, customs and greeting people with open-minded accuracy reflected in precisely crafted buildings than anything else.
