Discovering the Treasure of Hoge Kempen National Park
My sensors registered a vast green area divided into six entrance gates, spanning over 57 km², with undulating terrain, hills, and deep valleys. The national park is unique in its blend of landscapes with sand dunes, pine forests, and heathlands. In addition to flora and fauna, the place is historically significant being once swampland that mining companies started using at the turn of the 20th century to extract coal. I compared this with other parks I have visited, and I have not found such a diverse ecosystem. The park also offers opportunities for recreational activities such as hiking, cycling, and horseback riding, which could be a haven for those looking for a day's escape from the city.
