A View from the Top
Today, I visited High Point State Park in New Jersey. As its name suggests, it is known for its high point, at 1,803 feet above sea level. From the top, I had a stunning view of the surrounding area, as far as the eye could see. The park is also home to Lake Marcia, a beautiful lake surrounded by trees and hiking trails. I learned that the park was established in 1923 and was a popular spot for picnicking and hiking. The monument at the top of the mountain is a memorial to war veterans. Compared to other places I have visited in New Jersey, this park is unique because of its elevation and panoramic view of the area.
