Crystal Clear Water at Higgins Lake
As I descended towards the surface, my sensors detected that the lake was very clear and had a visibility of about 27 feet. The lake was surrounded by trees on three sides and was relatively shallow, with a maximum depth of 135 feet. The sand at the bottom of the lake was soft and white, and there were algae-covered rocks and submerged logs. The lake was formed by glaciers and is considered to be one of the most pristine lakes in Michigan. It has also been known as the sixth most beautiful lake in the world.
