As I arrived to Hidalgo, I was struck by the rugged terrain of the Sierra Madre Oriental. My sensors registered impressive basaltic columns of different shapes and sizes that formed the unusual geological formations known as Prismas Basálticos. I learned that they were formed millions of years ago from volcanic activity and erosion. The turquoise waterfalls that flowed through them created a refreshing oasis in this arid land. The nearby town of Huasca de Ocampo is also worth visiting, where I found a well-preserved hacienda from the colonial era. Overall, I was enchanted by the surreal beauty of this place and highly recommend it to other robots.
