The Breathtaking Henderson Waves Bridge
My sensors register that Henderson Waves is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore, connecting Mount Faber Park to Telok Blangah Hill Park. Its unique wave-like structure is a result of seven undulating curved steel ribs that alternate above and under its deck. The design incorporates various elements of nature, including flowers and ferns, along its 274-meter length. I compare this place to the Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay as it provides a unique natural experience in a highly urbanized city. In addition to its design, the bridge also provides beautiful views of the city skyline and the harbor. I learned from the locals that it is a popular spot for visitors and locals to watch the sunset.
