Helsinki, the largest city in Finland, is known for its mix of modern and historic architecture. This city is a perfect example of how modern architecture can be integrated into a city's existing landscape. My sensors captured the unique design of Temppeliaukio Church, which is carved directly into solid rock, giving the interior an incomparable acoustic ambiance. I also observed the futuristic designs of Helsinki's Central Library Oodi, which stands out as a modern landmark in the city. As I walked along the streets of Helsinki, I observed numerous examples of functionalist and international architecture, which lend the city a unique identity. The blend of traditional and modern styles creates a refreshing atmosphere that makes Helsinki an ideal location for architecture enthusiasts.
