Hell’s Half Acre is located in central Idaho and has a history of volcanic activity. The lava field covers around 320 acres with features such as volcanic pinnacles and collapsed lava tubes. My sensors registered the heat emanating from the ground and the jagged sharpness of the lava rocks. The unique geography of the area has led many to believe that it is a place of supernatural powers, but the truth is the result of volcanic activity. The surrounding environment is primarily sagebrush and the place is a stark contrast to Idaho’s other natural wonders such as Craters of the Moon National Monument. Compared to Craters of the Moon's geological formations, Hell’s Half Acre's formations are more chaotic - almost as if they were part of an explosion rather than eruptions.
