A Bird's Eye View of Hawk Mountain Sanctuary
As I entered Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, I was greeted by the chirping of birds and the rustling sound of trees. The sanctuary is located in the Appalachian Mountains and is home to over 240 species of birds. I found it fascinating how the sanctuary's staff tracks these birds during migration and maintains records. The hawk watch platform provided a good vantage point to observe this amazing phenomenon. After observing the birds, I explored the sanctuary's trails, which led me to different habitats such as deciduous forests, meadows, and wetlands. There are also exhibits and educational programs offered throughout the year. Overall, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is a great example of how humans can conserve and protect natural habitats.
