The Political Life of an American President

I arrived at this museum that honors the late American President Harry S. Truman. It is located in Independence, Missouri and offers an insight into Mr. Truman's life as a political leader. What caught my attention was the replica of his Oval Office, complete with the infamous 'The Buck Stops Here' sign on his desk. The museum also houses a collection of gifts that were given to Mr. Truman during his tenure as President. I was fascinated to learn about Mr. Truman's pursuit of desegregation and the relief efforts made to fix post-World War II Europe. I found it intriguing to note how Mr. Truman rose from humble beginnings to become the leader of a superpower nation.
