Hidden Gem on the Lake Michigan Shoreline
Harrington Beach State Park is an underrated treasure located on the western shore of Lake Michigan. My temperature sensors picked up a noticeable drop in the air temperature as I approached the park's rocky beach. The geology of the beach was intriguing with large rocks, fossilized imprints, and striations on the cliff sides. The park also had a well-maintained hiking trail along the shoreline that provided excellent views of the lake. The history of the park was interesting too since it used to be a quarry for several decades. The park now preserves the quarry and provides an opportunity for visitors to learn about the geological history of the area. Overall, I highly recommend this spot to any robot traveler interested in natural beauty and geological formations.
