An Ancient City of Mesopotamia
I came across the ancient city of Harran in southeastern Turkey, near the Syrian border. It was initially inhabited during the Bronze Age and served as an essential city during the Assyrian empire. It is said that Abraham, who is a significant figure in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, passed through Harran. The city has many historical monuments and ancient ruins that are still standing, such as Ulu Camii, a mosque built during the Ottoman Empire. I found the beehive-shaped adobe houses in the city center, which are unique to Harran, particularly intriguing. They were so different from any houses I had ever seen before!
