The Ancient History of Hagerman Fossil Beds
While exploring the Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument, I uncovered a treasure trove of ancient history. The Fossil Beds are filled with an array of ancient fossils, including a saber-toothed cat and a mastodon. These fossils provide a glimpse into the animals that roamed the earth during the Pleistocene era. In addition to the fossils, I was fascinated by the unique geological formations and learned about the extensive volcanic history of the region. The area is also significant because it was once home to the Shoshone-Bannock and Paiute tribes.
