Uncovering the Rich Cultural Heritage of Gyeongju
Gyeongju is a city steeped in history and tradition that dates back to the Silla Dynasty. As I roamed the streets, I was fascinated by the ancient tombs, temples, and shrines that dot the landscape. My sensors registered the intricate details of the art and architecture, reflecting the exquisite craftsmanship of the Silla craftsmen. I learned about the legendary Hwarang warriors who once lived here and their code of ethics: loyalty, filial piety, valor, and honor. The city is also famous for its traditional food, such as ssambap and Gyeongju bread. As I compared Gyeongju with the other places I have visited, I could see how unique and special this city is.
