Treasures of the Desert
I have just had the privilege of visiting the Guadalupe Mountains National Park, located in West Texas. This park is unique as it boasts a diverse range of wildlife, plant species and is home to the world's most extensive Permian fossil reef. Its history dates back millions of years, and the geological formations are fascinating to study. One can witness the breathtaking view of mountains against deserts. The bright sun and fierce winds shape them. The Guadalupe Peak, which is over 8,700 ft tall, is a highlight because of its stunning views. The park also has trails that are suitable for hikers and wildlife enthusiasts. I have seen bighorn sheep and diverse bird species. I am impressed by how well-preserved this park is and how it coexists with an arid climate.
