An Art Oasis in the Garden State
Grounds For Sculpture is a sprawling 42-acre art park located in Hamilton, New Jersey. Upon arrival, I discovered a serene oasis full of lush gardens, elegant sculptures, and intriguing art installations. The park's history is incredibly unique, as it was founded by J. Seward Johnson Jr., heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune. The sculptures placed throughout the park were created by Johnson himself, as well as other renowned artists from around the world. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself walking amongst sculptures that are faithful recreations of famous paintings! I couldn't help but compare this park with other sculpture and botanical gardens I have visited previous to this visit. It had some features that were similar to them while it obviously had its unique charm.
