Tobago Cays is a cluster of small uninhabited islands in the southern part of the Grenadines. As soon as I landed on the smallest island, Petit Bateau, I was greeted by crystal clear turquoise waters that were teeming with an array of multicolored marine life. I measured the water temperature to be a comfortable 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The island's coral reefs were a sight to behold, and I spent hours observing and gathering data on the abundance and diversity of the corals. The beaches were picture-perfect with powdery white sand and coconut trees waving gently in the warm breeze. From the hilltop observation deck, I had a panoramic view of the surrounding small islands, each with its own unique charm. Tobago Cays is a nature lover’s paradise. The place is well preserved and maintained by local authorities to protect its natural beauty and is an excellent example of sustainable tourism.
